PROCESS OF MAKING

Materials after cutting in different shape and size is dipped under the liquid mixture of castor oil and sea salt (sanchora). This is the traditional process to extract the natural base / whiteness of the materials. the process known as KHARONI KARNA is very important under this craft this gives the exact dimension of the materials. Material under this liquid remained stored for whole night along with goat excrete (waste). This gives the softness and colour boosting capability and hence fine lustered material is obtained.

After printing done on the fabric material is processed through the river water this process is known as BICHLIYA. Material after printing is kept for 7-15 days which allows the material to absorb the colour partiacls and then taken to the river and dipped in to the river water in once at the opposite direction of flow of the river water. unnecessary particals on the upper most layer of the material flows out along with the force of the river water and then material after drying is processed to the next traditional step aftre 2-3 days.
Water in a big copper pot is heated near about 150 degree temperature and materials is stirred up and down along with DHAWDA FLOWER & ELIZARIN. This gives the real and natural colour of alum and iron particals which are pinted on material. Material is stirred for 2 hours under that process and then treated gently with wooden sticks after blowing real colour material is putted in to normal water in a big tank, this is BHATTI. material is now ready for next process.
